Mark Hall Sports Centre was established in 2006 through various grants and funding. The aim of the Sports Centre is to be a community Sports Centre in the Heart of the Community for the Community.

Since opening The Mark Hall Sports Centre has become partners with many local sporting teams and clubs providing a place for them to train and develop. These include 2 very successful Netball Teams, Cross Keys and Tegate. Numerous football teams including Mark Hall Youth, who not only use the facilities for training on a number of days throughout the week as well as the Sports Centre being their home for league and club matches.

Apex Trampolining Club also base themselves at the centre and are an extremely successful club, hosting not only training nights here but also club and county competitions. There are two badminton clubs hosted here as well as Sawbridgeworth Badminton Club who host matches here on a Tuesday night.

The centre is also the home of Harlow Athletic Club, Harlow Running Club and all ability sport and leisure. The clubs have grown significantly since using the centre and now host a number of events from the centre.

The gym was opened to the public in 2006 and now currently has around 350 members.
