Harlow Athletic Club

Harlow Athletic Club is an all-inclusive, family orientated club catering for a broad spectrum of track and field athletics, cross country, road and trail running. Whether you’re a newcomer, youngster, veteran, or finely tuned athlete Harlow Athletic Club is the perfect place for you to improve your athletic ability or to just keep fit in a friendly, sociable environment.

Training Times

New athletes are welcome from the age of eight years old, we are based at Mark Hall Sports Centre and train on Mondays (all-ability sport),Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings from 6.30pm till 8.00pm.

Our club is run entirely by qualified and experienced volunteers from the local community, who give up their free time to promote athletics for young people starting from 8 years old, from Harlow and the surrounding areas.

We are very proud of our club, which boasts international athletes such as Olympian Andrew Osagie, wheelchair athlete Richard Chiassaro who is currently ranked UK no1 at wheelchair 100m and 200m, and 7th in the world, Naomi Harryman who has represented U17 England at triple jump internationally, and Will Marklew who throws the javelin for England U17, along with a host of county level juniors. However our club is not just about elite athletes, it is a welcoming, friendly environment that provides a sporting platform for athletes of all abilities.

Senior Team

The club has a strong Senior Section with the Men’s Team competing in the Southern Men’s League and the Women’s Team competing in the Southern Women’s League. The Men’s team finished second in 2014 in Division 1 East making the Championship final where they missed out on a podium finish by half a point. The Women’s team finished third in 2014 in Division 1.

Not an athlete but would like to become involved? Why not become one of our volunteers?
Volunteers make a huge difference to our club you could become an assistant coach helping out at our training sessions, a parent volunteer helping with the running of the admin of the club on training nights or an official helping out at our competitions. We’re always on the look out for new:
